What do your kids have that you always wanted when you were
a kid?
I know, iPhones did not exist in the 1970's. But kids with stuff I wanted did. She is one of those frickin' kids.
I feel the urge to thank my daring husband for garnishing my daughter for her 11th birthday with the best phone in the family. Why he did this, I just don't know. Whatever, life goes on.
The one great thing about her having an iPhone is I can take it away as punishment. Let me tell ya she has been a perfect little angle for almost a year now.
11th birthday? I am hoping the present he gifted you with on your birthday was proportionally more awesome even than an iPhone!
ReplyDeleteMy husband is a computer IT geek and wants all the latest gadgets. I was against giving her that phone but it sure does come in handy when punishments are handed out.
DeleteFor my 40th I got a pretty cool surprise party.
I don't want to sound like I am bragging, I just wanted to share the absurdity of my husband's ways at times. Ha ha! My kids are not spoiled, except when it comes to electronics. They both want to be computer geeks when they grow up. Can't fight that. :-)
Wow - 11 years old and an iPhone? I'm 31 and I don't even have one! I don't have an iPad or even an iPod! You must have a very special daughter. And husband.
ReplyDeleteAlli,
DeleteI think she is special, she's my only daughter. Daddy always spoils the kids and gives in, and I get to be the bad guy dolling out chores and punishment. LOL.

I hope you get an iPad and two iPhones for your next bday!
ReplyDeleteAnnie,
DeleteThat sounds cool!! I am saving for a Kindle Fire. I'm up to $54 in my jar. I think I should work for and earn my stuff and I am trying to show the kids that. But with my husband, well, he likes to spoil.
I hope it all evens out in the end.

Um....wow! How did she rate?!? LOL
ReplyDeleteI just bought an iPhone for myself, but it was used. And here I was thinking I was pretty high and mighty. LOL
Stopping by from Mama Kat's.
Missy,
DeleteThanks for stopping by. You are doing well, iPhone's are awesome! I love mine and it helps me with so much!

Ugh, agreed!!! I would have loved to have all the gadgets kiddos have these days....all i had was outside =) My little one is 2 and she has one of those Leap Pads, she learns a lot from it, don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't have imagined having one of those kind of things when I was younger!
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Mama Kats! Hope you can follow me back!!!

I understand. Not that I was deprived but I had a bff who got EVERYTHING she ever wanted. But she did let me use/borrow all her things since she was spoiled but somehow not a brat.
ReplyDeleteMy boys probably ask me for iPhones at least once a week!
Oh man, he is setting the bar HIGH for future birthdays! I want him in MY family for gift giving purposes!
